Meet the Staff
Dr. Lee’s office is staffed by dedicated, well trained staff members who pride themselves in providing continuity of care for you and your family in a safe, comfortable environment.
Our primary office focus is dento-alveolar surgery and dental implant surgery combined with sedation and or general anesthesia. Our primary hospital focus is jaw reconstruction for bite deformities and jaw surgery for obstructive sleep apnea. Two registered nurses certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and trained in office anesthesia ensure the safe and successful performance of office based oral surgery. Three highly trained surgical technicians assist Dr. Lee during surgery. For patients undergoing jaw reconstruction, a special staff coordinator is assigned to manage these case and work with your orthodontist to facilitate a team approach to your care. This is also true for patients undergoing dental implant reconstruction. Our dental implant coordinator will manage your cases and coordinate your care with your dentist. Our front office staff includes a scheduling coordinator and an insurance/financial coordinator who will assist you in establishing insurance benefits.

Ruth - One of the first staff members hired by Dr. Lee over 30 years ago, Ruth is the heart and soul of the practice. She has performed all staff functions from time to time and now is the office manager and Orthognathic Surgery Coordinator. Ruth assists Dr. Lee in all major jaw reconstructive procedures.
Because of the complexities of Orthognathic surgical cases, careful attention has to be paid to the growth of the patient during treatment, the orthodontic movement of the teeth during the long phase of orthodontic therapy and any changes that might occur in the health of the patient. For these reasons, Ruth is assigned to help coordinate all aspects of the patient’s jaw reconstruction. She has performed over 2000 Orthognathic surgery cases with Dr. Lee.
An important part of your care is case management. Orthodontic treatment takes many months and many things can change during that time. Small changes can directly affect the outcome of surgery; i.e., facial growth, TMJ issues, changes in medical history and facial changes as a result of orthodontics. Proper planning requires timely office visits, occasional progress models and intermittent reevaluation of your bite. Before surgery, specialized scanning of your jaw joints and airway will be necessary. Video imaging may be advantageous to evaluate the cosmetic changes associated with your treatment. All of this takes coordination between Dr. Lee, your dentist, orthodontist and in some cases your family physician. That is what our Orthognathic Surgery Coordinator does! She has had more experience and does it better that any other Orthognathic Surgery Coordinator in the Midwest.
Tracy - A member of Dr. Lee’s team for many years. She, too, has filled many positions and now is in charge of all dental implant reconstruction performed in the office. This position also requires coordination of complicated treatment plans and careful planning between Dr. Lee and your dentist. All dental implant reconstruction requires computer workup and three dimensional imaging. Tracy is well trained in these advanced techniques. She is 1st surgical assistant on all dental implant reconstruction and also assists Dr. Lee in many other dento-alveolar surgical procedures.
Nicki - A recent addition to Dr. Lee’s staff, Nicki is a surgical assistant and recovery room assistant to the nursing staff.
